Polyimide tape is used internationally as a masking medium, to protect parts of the circuit boards where solder is not required. Typically there is a need to mask gold coated edge contacts as well as holes where components are to be inserted at a later date. A good clean removal of the dots is essential in all applications. Thus, it can also be supplied in custom shapes.
